About us

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of theHoly Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you..." (Matt 28:19-20)

Hope Church Great Yarmouth began life meeting informally in homes during the week. The emphasis has been to get away from 'doing church' and to look at what it means to 'be the church'.

Jesus did not tell us to go and make Christians, or converts, or to get people to go to church. He told us to go and make disciples.

The definition of a disciple is a person who believes in the ideas and principles of someone famous and tries to live the way that pereson does or did.

As disciples of Jesus we need to try to be like Him and do what He did. Our thoughts and practices have been geared to teaching and equipping people to do just that.

As time has gone by we began to feel that we need to meet more and to make room for growth. As a result from the beginning of January 2016 we have started to meet on a Sunday afternoon at 4.30pm at the Priory Centre.
